My Top 25 Android Apps

The Android Market may not have as many apps as the iPhone App Store yet, but there are still enough to be overwhelmed, and it’s growing at a breakneck pace. To help you sort through them all, here’s my list of the best apps I’ve found on Android. 1. Google Voice Google Voice is a service that is so useful I consider it one of the top benefits of Android itself, especially since Apple rejected the Google Voice app for the iPhone. It gives you a phone number that can ring to multiple places or devices and it allows you to access all of your voice mail and text messages over the Web. The Android app integrates even deeper. It can make outgoing calls look like they’re coming from your Google Voice number so that you can keep your real mobile number private. 2. Advanced Task Killer One of the realities of having a multitasking mobile OS in Android is that you have to manage your apps so that they don’t hurt performance or battery life. Advanced Task Killer (or ATK) is my favorite. I...

Port Forwarding

If you are wondering where to start or what exactly needs to be done, you have come to the right place. This guide will provide a overview of what you need to do and know to forward ports to your computer. It will also provide an order to the guides on these pages, and help you avoid several common pitfalls. In order to forward properly you really need to understand what port forwarding is. This might seem like an irrelevant step, but it is not. Port forwarding is akin to driving a car. It's very difficult for most people. The more you know about port forwarding the easier it will be to get your ports from point A to point B. Imagine if you tried to go to the store without first learning how to drive your car. Well enough of this introduction, let's get to work. The very first thing you should do is to read the following guide which will explain what port forwarding is. Don't worry it's really short. What is port forwarding? Now that you have some idea of what we are a...

All you need to know about torrents

First of all Lets know what is TORRENT ? Literally, A strong wind that brings together everything they come across. Now truly, Torrents in computer terminology is also of a same form.  Some Basic Definitions(little technical!!!): Torrent:    A set of files obtainable through a peer-to-peer network. Seed:   A seed is a client on the BIT TORRENT network that has a complete copy of a particular archive. For any archive to work, there must be at least one seed to download from originally. Sometimes under certain circumstances, there may be no one seeder but enough people with all the parts to make up the whole archive, this is called a distributed copy. It is HIGHLY recommended that once you have gotten an archive you leave the BIT TORRENT client running for at least the amount of time that it took you to download the archive to help ensure that others will also be able to get it. Leech:   A leech is a client on the BIT Torrent n...

A Story of LOVE

Before the world existed, Man and Woman found Virtue and Passion to be boring, So, "Imagination" said "Why don't we play hide and seek?" "Fool" replied "Oh yes, lets" and started to count: "80, 40, 4, 3.."   All went off and hid, except for "Love", because.... of love's indesiveness,   "Fool" started to count again "80, 60, 35, and 100!" and "Love" jumped up and went and hid by a bush.   When "Fool" opened his eyes, the first person he found was "Lazy", who was just crouching on his feet, because....he was lazy.   The second person he found was "Imagination" hiding behind a cloud because..... she was imagination   Next, was "Innocence" who was hiding behind her hands because..... this was innocence.   "Liar" was found over here, and not over there, where he said he would be, because..... this was liar.  ...
